One thing that makes golf such a unique sport is how much you can learn about life, relationships, and even business—just by playing a round. I’ve experienced firsthand how golf can connect people, teach you about yourself, and help you grow in ways you never expect.
This series blends two of my biggest passions—golf and psychology—to bring you practical tips to not only improve your game but also apply what you learn on the course to every area of life.
To give you a bit of my background: I played golf in college and I’m currently in the PGA Professional Golf Management program. Before diving fully into the golf world, I taught elementary education for five years and then worked at a university while getting my graduate degree in industrial and business psychology. To this day, I still love studying psychology and applying it to the golf course, which is a big part of what we’ll explore in this series
.
Now, a quick disclaimer: I’m not a sports psychologist, neurologist, or a certified expert when it comes to brain research. However, I will be sharing insights that I’ve learned, both from personal experience and from the amazing work of sports psychologists who have done the legwork in the field. My aim here is to make these ideas accessible and relatable, so you can start applying them right away.
My goal with this project is to help you feel more comfortable and confident—not just on the golf course, but in life. And hey, along the way, I’ll also be sharing tips on how to have better conversations, whether it's with your playing partners or off the course, in everyday life. So if you're ready to take your game—and your mindset—to the next level, let’s get started. Welcome to 'Meaningful Topics for the Golf Course.'”
